Woman Causes a Stir Online With Photo of Her ‘Unacceptable’ Breakfast Plate

What do you usually like to eat for breakfast? There are many traditional breakfast foods, at least there are in the United States. We enjoy everything from pancakes and waffles, to quiche and fried egg sandwiches.

While there may be certain foods that are considered breakfast foods, are there certain foods that you would never consider eating for breakfast to the extent that you would actually be offended if you saw someone else eating it for breakfast?

I’ve eaten leftovers from dinner the night before more than once for breakfast, so I’m definitely not one to criticize what anyone happens to want to eat. I also love breakfast food and enjoy breakfast for dinner from time to time.

Apparently, there are people out there who are a little bit pickier than I am about what they eat for breakfast. On a U.K.-based Twitter account called Rate My Plate, a picture by a home chef named Jessica M has gotten a lot of criticism.

The picture is of Jessica’s breakfast. It includes toast, potatoes, eggs, sausages, ham, beans, and peas. For the most part, this is what is considered a traditional full English breakfast. According to The Spruce Eats, traditionally, a full English breakfast includes “bacon, eggs, and sausages (also called bangers in the U.K.). The dish is usually accompanied by grilled tomato, mushrooms, fried onions, toast, and marmalade.”

Jessica’s dish is missing the tomato, mushrooms and onions, but it does have beans and peas. Is that okay?

According to Twitter users, no. They don’t mind the beans, but the peas seem to be pretty offensive. Some users are even saying she put them on the plate just to get people upset.

Have you ever eaten peas for breakfast? What do you think of Jessica’s plate? Does her breakfast offend you?
