Josh Duggar’s Cousin Amy Tells Anna Duggar That ‘There Is No Shame In’ Divorce

Josh Duggar was found guilty of two counts of possessing child pornography. He is now awaiting sentencing and could face up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000 for each guilty charge.

Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar, has remained by his side throughout this whole ordeal. She and Josh have seven children together. We can only imagine what a negative impact his conviction has placed on this family.

Throughout this ordeal, one of Josh’s family members has been very outspoken and unsupportive of Josh. This is Josh’s cousin, Amy Duggar King. She has been supportive of Josh’s family, his wife and his children, sympathizing with them, but she is not sympathetic for her cousin.

Even before Josh was found guilty, Amy wrote on Instagram that she was praying “that the judge will give the ultimate sentence.”

Now, Amy is sharing her feelings about her cousin on Instagram again, but this time, she is speaking directly to Josh’s wife, Anna. Amy shared a picture from her wedding where she is in a wedding dress and Anna is hugging her. Then she wrote a heartfelt message to Anna about marriage, God, parenting and divorce.

Amy told Anna, “You’ve been taught since you were a child that marriage is forever.” Later, she explained, “There is no shame in divorcing Josh.”

When Amy wrote to Anna that “you’re being surrounded by the wrong kind of support,” she wasn’t just talking about Josh’s family. She was also talking about Anna’s family. She wrote, “I cried as I read the letter your own father wrote in support of your husband this week. It’s no wonder you’re struggling to know what to do to protect your own kids… you’ve obviously never had an example there. That’s awful and I’m so sorry for that.”

Amy told Anna that she and her husband Dillan “are more than willing to help” if she decides to divorce Josh. She added, “Josh has chosen how history will remember him. By staying and supporting him you’re allowing him to choose that for you, too.”

Do you think Anna should divorce Josh? Do you think she will?
