When you think of a theme park you probably think of rollercoasters and characters from your child’s favorite cartoon. A lot of activities at typical theme parks have nothing to do with reality.

While escaping to an imaginary land can be fun, kids also enjoy the adventure of pretending like they’re all grown up. If you have kids, you probably know that they like to do what their parents are doing. For example, if you’re dusting or sweeping the floor, toddlers think it must be fun, and they want to do it too.

A lot of kids toys are designed to let them pretend they’re grown ups. Play kitchens, miniature houses and baby dolls are all geared for this type of imaginative play. So are battery powered toy cars and dump trucks kids can play with in the sand.

Now, there’s a theme park that skips the rollercoasters and focuses on kids’ love for pretending they’re grown ups by letting them explore a career that fascinates many children – construction. Diggerland not only lets children sit on real construction machinery; they actually get to operate it.

Little ones who are at least 36” tall can learn to operate a big digger, go for an adventure on a backhoe, and get behind the wheel of a dumper truck. That’s just the beginning. There are many more rides to explore along with games, a playground and even a water park that’s new for 2020.

There are multiple dining options located around the park where little ones can rest and get ready for the next adventure.

Diggerland has several birthday party packages, and there are even family campouts.

Diggerland USA is located in New Jersey, but people from all over travel there for the unique experience. Due to COVID-19, Diggerland is currently closed, but the construction theme park plans to reopen on Saturday July 11, 2020.

Do you think your kids would enjoy operating real construction vehicles?
