The Office Star’s Home Left With Significant Damage After Devastating Mountain Fire
Rainn Wilson is contemplating a recent loss after a mountain fire severely damaged a significant portion of his California home. The 58-year-old actor and podcast host, best known for his role as Dwight Schrute on The Office, first shared the news in a November 11 Instagram post. He revealed that the home he shares with his wife, Holiday Reinhorn, had “almost burned down” in the wildfire that swept through Ventura County last month.

Despite the damage, Wilson maintained a positive outlook in the video, expressing gratitude that their home wasn’t completely destroyed, unlike so many others affected by the fire.
According to Wilson, his house was badly damaged but the home can be saved as opposed to some of their neighbors who lost their homes.
On Friday, Dec. 13, more than a month after the fire, the actor posted a video on his official Soul Boom podcast account, showing the aftermath as he walked through the rubble. In the clip, he reached out to his audience, asking them to share some words of inspiration.

“Well, this is not something I ever thought I’d be doing,” he said in the video. “Walking through the remains of my bedroom and my closet and my bathroom, and there’s my toilet. My charred toilet.”
“There’s some kind of valuable lesson here. I’m not sure what it is — kind of death and fire teaches you a lesson about the impermanence of life and the preciousness of what we have.”
“It’s all a little much for me. So overwhelmed, my brain just goes offline — I can barely process it.”
“So I hope you all stay grateful today, for what you have.”
