Leaked Text Messages Show Pete Davidson Calling Kanye West “Embarrassing”
Through all of this, Pete has stayed silent, but he could only stay silent so long. Pete does not have social media accounts, so his friend, Dave Sirus sometimes shares messages on Pete’s behalf. Recently, Dave shared a text exchange between Pete and Ye.
The text exchange started with Pete writing, “Yo it’s Skete.” This was a reference to the mean nickname Ye created for the comedian. Then Pete wrote, “Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so fucking lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the fuck up.”
Ye responded by writing, “Oh you using profanity. Where are you right now?”
Many fans found Pete’s next comment to be mean and unnecessary considering Ye certainly doesn’t like Pete and tried to win Kim back. Pete wrote, “In bed with your wife.” Then he shared a picture of himself in bed holding up a peace sign.
While that one comment from Pete got a lot of attention, there’s much more to the story. It definitely didn’t end there. Ye replied with a low blow of his own. “Happy to see you’re out the hospital and rehab.” This was an insult to the fact that Pete has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and has been to multiple treatment centers. He has even admitted to being suicidal at times.
Pete shot back, “Same here. It’s wonders what those places do when you go get help. You should try it.” Ye has mental health issues of his own. He has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
Pete added, “I’m in La for the day if you wanna stop being a little internet bitch boy and talk.” Then he added, “You don’t scare me bro. Your actions are so pussy and embarrassing. It’s so sad to watch you ruin ur legacy on the daily.”
Ye seemed open to the idea of talking, but he wanted to do it publicly. He wrote, “You’re more than welcome to come to Sunday Service.” This was in reference to the prayer and worship meeting that Ye holds on Sundays.
Pete didn’t want to meet with Ye publicly. Instead, he wanted to talk privately. He wrote, “Why don’t we meet after Sunday service and saints game … I’ll be at the BHH [Beverly Hills Hotel] we can have food and talk it out in my room. Privately one on one. Man to man.” He added, “What you are doing to your family is dangerous and going to scar them for life. Please handle these matters privately bro I beg you.”
Ye resisted the idea of a private conversation. He wrote, “You wanna see me… Come to Sunday Service.”
Pete resisted the idea of meeting publicly. He explained, “This isn’t public dude. I’m not here for pictures and press. Which is obviously all you care about. My offer stands… I wish you’d man up for once in your life.”
Pete wasn’t done. He went on to explain that he wants to help Ye. Pete wrote, “Let me help you man. I struggle with mental stuff too. It’s not an easy journey. You don’t have to feel this way anymore. There’s no shame in having a little help. You’ll be so happy and at peace.”
Then Pete explained to Ye that he has defended him multiple times even thought Ye has been nothing but mean to him. Pete wrote, “You have no idea how nice I’ve been to you despite your actions towards me. I’ve stopped SNL from talking about or making fun of you which they’ve wanted to do for months. I’ve stopped stand up comedians from doing bits about you cause I don’t want the father of my girls kids to look bad out here. I have your back even though you treat me like shit because I want everything to be smooth.”
Even though Pete has defended Ye up to this point, it seems that he has reached his breaking point. He warned Ye, “But if you continue to press me like you have for the past 6 months I’m gonna stop being nice.”
No word on whether or not Pete and Ye actually met face to face on Sunday. What do you think Pete means when he says he “will stop being nice”?
