Stars React to the News That Bob Saget Was Found Dead At 65

On Saturday January 8th, 2022, comedian and actor Bob Saget was performing stand up in Jacksonville, Florida. After the show, early Sunday morning, he posted a selfie on Twitter along with the text, “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check http://BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022.” That was his last tweet.

Saget spend the night at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. Just hours after his final tweet, security found Saget unresponsive in his hotel room. He was pronounced dead. He was only 65 years old. Cause of death has not been released, but foul play was ruled out.

Saget’s family was shocked at this death. In a statement to Page Six, his wife, Kelly Rizzo, explained, “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today.  He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.” Rizzo also expressed that the family requests privacy while they mourn, but “we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Many of Saget’s friends and former co-stars, including John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, and Pete Davidson, have taken to social media to express their grief and shock at Saget’s unexpected passing. Saget was survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and his three adult children, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer. He was best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Full House.” He reprised the role on the show “Fuller House.” He also hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
