South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has been found dead at the age of 24, according to police reports cited by the BBC.
A friend discovered Kim at her home in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong district around 4:55 PM local time (07:55 GMT) on Sunday. Authorities have stated that there were no indications of foul play, and an investigation into the cause of her death is currently underway.
Kim, who rose to fame as a child actress, was widely regarded as one of South Korea’s most promising young stars.
Kim Sae-ron was an actress known for her remarkable talent from a young age. Born on July 31, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea, she began her acting career as a child and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional performances.
Kim made her debut in the 2009 film A Brand New Life, playing the lead role of a young girl abandoned at an orphanage. Her emotionally nuanced performance earned her widespread acclaim, showcasing her potential as one of South Korea’s most promising young actresses. She gained further international recognition with her role in The Man from Nowhere (2010), a critically acclaimed action thriller starring Won Bin.
