YouTuber Known As ‘South Africa’s Steve Irwin’ Passed Away
Sadly, one day Dingo’s risky behavior got the better of him, and he was bitten by a venomous snake. He fought for his life, but ended up passing away on October 26, 2024.
His wife, Kristy Dinkelman, shared a statement on Instagram explaining how he died and pointing out all of his positive qualities. The statement was shared in three parts.
The first part of the statement was posted alongside a photo of Dingo with his pet giraffe, Elliot. In the statement, Kristy explains, “On Saturday, 26 October 2024, having spent a month in ICU in an induced coma following a snake bite, South African wildlife crusader, YouTube sensation, and our dedicated family man, Dingo ‘Graham’ Dinkelman (44) passed away.”
Kirsty went on to explain that Dingo loved all kinds of animals, not just venomous snakes. For example, he also loved lions and rhinos, as well as his giraffe, Elliot.

The second part of the statement was shared alongside a picture of Dingo holding a snake. In this post, Kirsty shares her late husband’s “greatest joys” which she shares were his family. Besides his wife, Dingo is survived by their three children 14-year-old Taylor, 12-year-old Maddy and 10-year-old Rex Dinkelman. The family had even started a new YouTube channel all about their family adventures and animal conservation.
Kristy shared that Dingo once said, “My passion, my calling, the reason I have been put on the face of this Earth, is to help people to connect with animals. I’ve always believed that we need to convert the unconverted – to reach people who’ve had absolutely no experience with nature and wildlife, who are scared of snakes and afraid of getting dirty, and to get them passionate about conservation.“
