Singer And Actress Olivia Newton-John Dead At 73

Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends, according to an Instgram post by her husband, John Easterling.

Back in 2018, Newton-John revealed that she was once again battling cancer for the 3rd time over a 30-year-period.

Newton-John was born in the United Kingdom in 1948 and was the youngest of three children. When she was six-years-old, her family moved to Australia.

The singer won four Grammy awards and had five number-one hits. And perhaps she is best known for her role as Sandy in the hit 1978 movie Grease, starring alongside John Travolta. The duo had two hit songs from the soundtrack: “You’re the One That I Want” and “Summer Nights”.

In 1981, Newton-John released the song “Physical” (official music video here), which spent ten weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, went double platinum, and became a Billboard Top Hot 100 Single of the 1980s. She’s also known for several other hits, including Magic (official music video here).
