Should ‘Reba’ Get A Reboot? Reba McEntire Wants To Bring Her Show Back

There’s nothing like a good reboot or even a good spinoff of an epic show. Some shows are able to do this very well. Not only do the fans love to see their favorite characters back on TV again in new adventures, but the cast loves to get back together as well.

Imagine being an actor and working on the same show for years. Assuming you get along with your co-workers, you would become like a family. It’s definitely something that the actors might miss after the show is over.

When you think of Reba McEntire, the first thing that comes to mind might be her music. That’s reasonable, but McEntire is also a very talented actress. She had a hit sitcom for six seasons, and it was simply called “Reba.” The sitcom ran on the CW from 2001 through 2007. Fifteen years later, fans are still wondering if there will ever be a reboot of the show.

It turns out there might be a reboot or at least a reunion show if McEntire has anything to do with it. On “The Bobby Bones Show,” McEntire answered questions about her show, including if a reboot is a possibility or not. McEntire answered, “We’ve really been trying hard to do a reboot of the ‘Reba’ show.” She added, “I really want to work with the people that I got to work with during that six and a half years.”

McEntire continued to explain why she would love to do a reboot – to reunite with the cast. This includes Christopher Rich, who played Brock Enroll Hart, her husband on the show. In addition, there’s Melissa Peterman, who played Brock’s girlfriend who ends up marrying Brock, Barbra Jean Hart.

McEntire explained that she really enjoyed working with the cast. She said, “It was fun, the cast the crew everybody we got to work with and play with, they were wonderful people.” She continued, “We wanted to get back together like a reunion and have fun, so hopefully that will happen one day.”

McEntire is currently focused on other projects at the moment including a restaurant and a tour, so it’s probably safe to say that rebooting the show is probably not her top priority. Yet, she has made her feelings known, and possibly it will actually become reality one of these days.
