This past weekend was the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration, but for some members of the royal family, there was another celebration that took priority.

Saturday was Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor‘s first birthday. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in England with their children for the Jubilee, which meant that Lili was able to celebrate her first birthday with some of the relatives from her dad’s side of the family.

Instead of attending Jubilee festivities on Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focused on their daughter and her first birthday party, which was held at Frogmore Cottage, the same house where the Sussexes lived when they were first married and where they lived when Lili’s older brother Archie was born.

Photographer and family friend Misan Harriman attended the birthday party with his family, and he also acted as the official photographer for the event. After the celebration, he posted a few pictures from the party on Twitter. One snap shows his wife and children celebrating with Meghan and Lili. While this picture is in black and white, another picture, which is in color, shows something we previously didn’t know about Lili. She’s a redhead like her dad.

In the picture, Lili is sitting on the grass. She’s wearing a baby blue dress with a matching bow in her hair, her beautifully red hair.

Watch the video below to hear more about Lili’s birthday party including who was there and who was notably absent from the celebration.

Do you think Prince William and Kate Middleton would have attended Lili’s birthday party if they didn’t have previously scheduled Jubilee festivities to attend? Why do you think the Queen wasn’t at Lili’s party? Do you think Lili looks more like her mom or her dad?
