‘Sex and the City’ Star Denies 2 Separate Claims of Sexual Assault

Good Morning America

Many people know actor Chris Noth best as the character Mr. Big from “Sex and the City.” Now that the series has gotten a reboot called “And Just Like That,” Noth is back in the spotlight. Hearing about the reboot and that Noth was part of it also triggered two women to decide to tell the truth about their experiences with Noth in 2004 and 2015.

Both women approached The Hollywood Reporter separately and without knowing each other. In both instances, the women claim that Noth sexually assaulted them. They also both told THR that they wish to remain anonymous.

In one instance, which happened in 2004, a woman who was 22 years old at the time claims Noth invited her to his apartment in West Hollywood where he forced himself on her and refused to stop. The woman’s boss, who she called after the incident, backs up her story.

A friend took her to the hospital, but she didn’t tell her friend what happened, and she refused to tell the hospital the name of the person who was responsible. She was afraid her career in the entertainment industry would be in jeopardy if she got on the bad side of a big star, but when she heard about the “Sex and the City” reboot, she felt that it was time to finally speak up.

The other woman that claims Noth attacked her says the incident happened in 2015. She was 25 years old at the time, and she met Noth when she was working at a nightclub. Noth invited her to dinner, and she accepted. When they met for dinner, the restaurant was about to close. Noth suggested they go back to his apartment for whiskey. While they were there, he forced himself on her.

She had perviously been a huge fan of Noth. She told THR, “I was feeling awful. Totally violated. All of my dreams with this star I loved for years were gone.”
