Dionne Warwick fans who have tickets to upcoming concerts might need to wait awhile before they can see the legendary singer in concert. Warwick was scheduled to perform on June 24, 2023, at the Event Center at Rivers Casino Des Plaines in Des Plaines, Illinois. Now, the concert is off.

Warwick fans who have tickets to the previously scheduled concert received a letter from the Rivers Casino Des Plaines explaining why the concert was cancelled. The letter reads, “We regret to inform you that the Dionne Warwick performance…has been cancelled due to a medical incident.” No details were provided about what the “medical incident” involved, but fans were reassured that “all ticket purchases will receive a full refund.”

The letter was sent to fans via email. Currently, the concert is cancelled, but it is possible that it may be rescheduled in the future.

As for that “medical incident,” it turns out that it involves an issue Warwick has been having with one of her legs. While she is reportedly on the road to recovery, she is not 100% just yet, and that’s why the concert was cancelled.

Despite the recent medical incident, at age 82, Warwick is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. She has multiple performances scheduled in the coming months, and she has an upcoming album titled “Songs of Inspiration.” One of these songs is a duet with Dolly Parton. In the meantime, until we can hear Warwick perform live again, we’ll be taking her own advice and “say a little prayer” for her. Listen to her hit “Say a Little Prayer for You” in the video below.

Do you think Warwick will end up rescheduling the concert she cancelled? Do you think she will recover quickly enough to perform at her other shows in the upcoming months?
