Actor his roles in the “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter” films. The four foot tall actor played an Ewok in “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi,” and he played a goblin in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
Last month, Grant did an interview outside King’s Cross station. During the interview, he admitted to “blowing” the fortune he made from “Star Wars” on drugs and sex workers. He also said that he needed to stop drinking and claimed that the day of the interview would be his last day drinking alcohol.
Fast forward one month to March 16, 2023, and Grant was once again outside King’ Cross station, but this time, he wasn’t doing an interview. He had collapsed. Police found him, and he was rushed to the hospital.
At the hospital, Grant was declared brain dead. His family has confirmed that he died on March 19th at the age of 56. He is survived by his three children from his marriage to Janet Crowson. Grant’s stepdaughter Stacey has started a GoFundMe to raise money to “give him the best send off.”
Upon the news of his death, many people have taken to social media to express their sorrow at his passing.
How awful for his poor family to lose him in that way. RIP 💔

RIP Paul Grant. He played one of the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. He was only 56 years old. Another great lost. My condolences to the family and everyone who worked with him, including the people in ROTJ. Sad news @MarkHamill pic.twitter.com/tObjqXhgHP

Sad news, sounds like he was a family man who all will miss him dearly. Despite his addiction issues seems he lived a full and happy life. Not everyone can say they were part of the legend of Star Wars. Condolences to his loved ones. RIP Paul Grant.
