Update: According to a report from TMZ the beloved singer died of cancer. Mr. Buffett was diagnosed with skin cancer four years. The cancer unfortunately progressed to Lymphoma. Mr. Buffett and his music has long been associated with paradise and sunny climes. The singer was famous for flying to tropical locations aboard is sea plane which also nearly killed him during a crash taking off.

Jimmy Buffett the beachy, paradise, inspired singer of the hit song “Margaritaville” has passed away on Friday, September 1,2023 according to a statement on his social media account. He was 76 years old. No cause of death was given.

A few months ago, Tiphero reported Jimmy Buffett had to cancel several shows at “The Coast of Carolina Show in Charleston, South Carolina on May 20, 2023 due to health issues.

Two days before he was set to go on stage, Buffet took to Twitter to announce that the show would not go on. He explained that he “stopped in Boston for a check-up” but that “check-up” landed him in the hospital “to address some issues that needed immediate attention.” He did not clarify what the “check-up” was about or what the “issues” were; however, he did attribute them to “growing old.”

Buffet continued, “Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you,” but Buffet was also clear that he plans to make a full recovery and perform at a future date. He explained, “I also will promise you, that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I will be doing.”
