Jacklyn Smith was better known to the world as Jacky Oh, a former cast member on the BET series “Wild ‘N Out,” and the long-time partner of fellow cast member DC Young Fly. The couple never married, but they had three children together.

The L.A. Times reports that Jacky was in Miami where, according to a since deleted Instagram post, she was going to get a “mommy makeover.” According to Stanford Medicine, a typical “mommy makeover” includes a tummy tuck and breast augmentation, but it can also include other surgeries such as vaginal rejuvenation, liposuction and a breast lift.

According to a report by the Miami Police Department, on May 31, 2023, Jacky was staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell when she was found unresponsive in her room. She was taken to Mercy Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly before midnight. She was only 32 years old.  TMZ reports that DC was in Atlanta filming episodes of “Wild ‘N Out” when he found out about Jacky’s death.

“Wild ‘N Out” announced the news of Jacky’s death on Instagram writing, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed. Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children. The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”

DL Hughley posted on Instagram in response to the tragic news. He wrote, “My heart breaks for my young brother @dcyoungfly and his children.” He called DC “a family man” and “a strong, solid, determined young man of faith.” He continued, “We love you, my family and I send every ounce of love we have and prayers for strength to you and your family through this time.”

Jacky and DC has been together since 2015. Jacky is survived by DC and their three young children.

Rest in peace.
