‘Real Housewives’ Star Canceled Wedding Due To Massive Red Flag
Kelly joined the cast of RHONY in its second season, bringing a fresh dynamic to the show. Her time on the series was marked by a blend of high fashion, eccentric behavior, and notable drama.
One of her most infamous moments was the “Scary Island” incident during the third season, where her volatile behavior led to significant conflict with other cast members. This episode remains one of the most talked-about moments in the Real Housewives series.
Well, she is in the gossip columns again. This time she canceled her wedding to wealth management consultant Scott Litner, just four days before the planned ceremony.
A source close to Kelly said she is taking necessary time to herself to regroup during this challenging time.
In an interview with Page Six, the reality star stated, “I have decided that my two daughters are my priority and I won’t be moving forward with this wedding.” Previously, Bensimon was married to Gilles Bensimon, a prominent fashion photographer. They have two daughters together. The couple divorced in 2007.
Oddly, Bensimon is returning from her bachelorette trip she took with her two daughters Sea, 26, and Teddy, 24, at Sandals Dunn’s River in Jamaica

The 56 year old reality star called off her June 29th wedding on June 25. The couple was planning two different events. Starting with a small ceremony in Boston, at Litner’s moms home. Then, a larger celebration was to be held with many family and friends, in the Hamptons, at a later date.
Last year, Litner proposed while the couple were on holiday in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, during the 4th of July weekend.
In September, the pair moved in together and Bensimon rented out her NYC apartment for over $28k a month. “I’m getting married later in life and I never thought this would happen,” she told Page Six. “I just would not change this day and the leading up to it.”
The big red flag that changed everything was when Litner would not sign a prenup. This is a man who makes his living in the wealth management field. Bensimon told US Weekly, “ I haven’t come this far in business and life to start making poor decisions because of a man. He of all people should have understood the need to protect each other before we tied the knot. I’m truly shocked he refused a prenup.”
Bensimon continued, “Litner Thought that I would enter this union without legal protections in place, that I would leave everything to faith.”
