Do people get boring as they get older, or do they keep their sense of youthful fun no matter their age? The residents at Arcadia Senior Living facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, are proving that age is just a number when it comes to having fun.

The senior living facility launched their own TikTok, and all of their posts feature the residents lip synching and recreating hit songs, but there’s one post in particular that has gotten a lot of attention.

Shortly after the Super Bowl, a dozen female residents decided to recreate part of Rihanna’s halftime show. As the song “Rude Boys” played, 11 women who were dressed in white fanned out to reveal a woman dressed in red. This resident, 87 year old Dora Martin, had her back to the camera before turning around to lip synch and dance to the music. This video has been viewed 32.3 million times.

The residents are pleasantly surprised at all the attention their short video has gotten, but they were even more surprised when 100 red roses were delivered to their senior living facility. The roses were from none other than Jay-Z who owns Roc Nation, the entertainment agency that represents Rihanna.

The residents were even more surprised when they later received 100 white roses. This time the roses were from Rihanna herself.

Maitlin Nuckols, the director of life engagement at Arcadia Senior Living facility, believes that the video went viral because “Everybody loves to see the older generation letting loose and having fun.” Nuckols added, “I feel like this video just kind of shows a different side of them.”

Nuckols said that the residents have “enjoyed…all of the attention and all of the fame.” They are also treating the flowers like a treasure. They don’t ever want them to die, and some of them plan to press the petals or turn them into jewelry.

Some of the family members of the residents at Arcadia Senior Living facility are even a little bit jealous of the fame and attention the oldest members of their family are getting. Nuckols explained that some of the residents’ grandchildren “are sharing the post and saying, ‘My grandma is officially cooler than me.'”

Does it surprise you that Rihanna and Jay-Z both sent flowers to the residents of this senior living facility because of their viral TikTok?
