Racing Legend Killed In Plane Crash
Scott Bloomquist, prominent dirt track racing star, passed away August 15 in a single engine plane crash in Hawkins County, Tennessee. He was 60.
According to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s department, the small plane crashed into a barn close to the Bloomquist family farm and the Scott Bloomquist Racing team shop in Mooresburg on the morning of August 15. The only person aboard the plane was Scott Bloomquist. The FAA is conducting an investigation into the crash.

Throughout his career, Bloomquist has won multiple prestigious events, including the World 100, the Dirt Late Model Dream, and the Knoxville Late Model Nationals. His consistency and performance have earned him numerous series championships, solidifying his status as one of the greatest dirt track racers of all time.
