Once upon a time, when a woman was pregnant, she wore clothing that wasn’t so flattering. It didn’t hug her baby bump. Instead, it made her look, well, even bigger than she actually was.
Nowadays, ordinary people and people in the spotlight often like to flaunt their baby bump once they announce that they are pregnant. They buy clothes that flatter their ever-growing belly, and they pose for maternity shoots where they will forever capture their unique shape at that special time during their pregnancy.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, already have a daughter, Sterling, but now, they are getting ready to welcome baby number 2, a boy.
Brittany has shared multiple pictures throughout her pregnancy on Instagram, posing with her husband and daughter. Most recently, she posed for two separate maternity photoshoots, one with her family and one by herself.
The first set of maternity shoot photos that the soon-to-be mom of two shared on Instagram show her wearing a form-fitting black dress while her husband caresses her belly and she holds their daughter. She captioned the photos, “You three.”
Then, Brittany shared the maternity photos that she posed for alone. These are a lot sexier with Brittany wearing only a white bra and a see-through robe. She posed with her knee up and her hand strategically placed with white curtains draped behind her. She captioned the series of photos, “As women, we are powerful.”
In an Instagram story, Brittany explained that everyone at the photoshoot “made [her] feel so beautiful.”
Many of her followers have commented on her photos, praising Brittany for how beautiful she looks in the photos. For example, one follower wrote, “You are a stunning queen!! You have the most beautiful family!!”
Other followers told her to tag her photographer. One follower wrote, “You are stunning, Brit! Shout out to your photographer, please. The pics of you and Patrick are sexy!!!!!! Your family is beautiful and loved.”
The photographer, Jesse Alter Photographer, commented on Brittany’s photos tagging other people involved in the photoshoot. She wrote, “Yesss @brittanylynne 🙌 This was one of my absolute favorite sets. The hair @laurabethartistry, the makeup @rpartistrykc, the wardrobe, the FOG. It all came together beautifully. Like a dream.”
Meanwhile, there were some haters. A few followers left comments telling Brittany things like “Beautiful pictures, but I’m at a loss as to why one wants to share something so personal. Where’s the boundary?”
What do you think of Brittany’s maternity photos? Do you think she was sharing too much by posting them online, or do you think they’re gorgeous and a great example of the photographer’s beautiful work?
