Linda Nolan, the celebrated singer and television personality, has passed away at the age of 65. Known for her chart-topping success as part of the pop vocal group the Nolans, Linda later enjoyed a flourishing television career.

Her agent, Dermot McNamara, confirmed that Linda died at Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital, surrounded by her loving siblings. “She was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments,” McNamara stated in a heartfelt announcement shared with The Guardian.

Describing Linda as a “beacon of hope and resilience,” McNamara praised her remarkable career. “She was a celebrated Irish pop legend, television personality, Guinness World Record-holding West End star, Sunday Times bestselling author, and Daily Mirror columnist,” he said. He also expressed the family’s deep gratitude to the hospital staff, whose tireless care made Linda’s final days more bearable.

 

Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, and then remission by 2011. She faced another cancer diagnosis in 2017, demonstrating incredible strength and grace throughout her journey. Through it all, she became a powerful advocate for cancer awareness, sharing her journey with remarkable honesty in interviews, her Sunday Times bestselling memoirs, and her Daily Mirror columns.

Linda Nolan, born on February 23, 1959, in Dublin, Ireland, rose to fame as a member of the beloved pop vocal group, the Nolans. The family band achieved international stardom with hits like I’m in the Mood for Dancing and sold over 30 million records worldwide. Known for her charisma and talent, Linda was a vital part of the group’s enduring appeal.

 

 

 

In addition to her musical success, Linda enjoyed a dynamic career in entertainment.
