If you like to read in your spare time, we have found the perfect side hustle for you. One company actually wants to pay book lovers to read. There’s no limit on how many books you can read. It can be as few as one or as many as you can devour.

WordsRated is a company that uses studies to compile data about literature. The information they discover is available for free to anyone who is interested in it. The people who work for WordsRated all work remotely, and they are located all over the world in countries including the United States, Spain and the Philippians just to name a few.

Now, WordsRated wanted to hire up to 20 more people who love to read for a unique position. The company will provide the books, and the people chosen for the job will read them and take notes about certain aspects of the book. When the job is complete, the reader will get paid a cool $200.

If you love to get lost in a book, this may not be the position for you. People who apply need to be able to read the book while taking note of certain details included in the story. Just a few of the types of notes you’ll need to take include “number of characters by gender” and “how many questions were asked in the book.” If taking notes doesn’t distract you from the story, then get ready to apply.

In order to apply for this book reading position, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old, be proficient in the English language and have a reliable internet connection. Obviously, you’ll also need a love for reading.

The job title is Bibliophile at Large, and the job application is fairly simple. You’ll need to answer questions like name and your current job title, but you don’t need to attach a resume. Instead, you need to include the titles and authors of your top three favorite books and explain why you’re the perfect person for this job.

According to WordsRated’s research director, Daniel McLoughlin, “This is a chance for book lovers to earn a little bit of extra cash on the side while doing what they love. For our researchers to read 20 books would take forever, but for 20 people to read 1 book each or 10 people to read 2 books each will be much faster. We hope this can be a win-win for everyone where readers can get their hands on books for free and get paid to read them while WordsRated can produce more studies that will hopefully have an impact on publishing, writing and books as a whole.”

If this sounds like a dream come true, apply here. WordsRated plans to hire between 5 and 10 people in June and add more people to the position in August for a total of about 20 readers, one of which could be you.
