Oprah Winfrey – she is definitely a household name. Her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, was a sensation for 25 years. She interviewed a wide variety of guests and related to them on a deep level. Her compassion and joy radiated through the show and viewers came back wanting more.

When Winfrey ended her talk show, she didn’t disappear completely. She launched her OWN network, and now, she has collaborated with Prince Harry on a documentary about mental health.

In a recent interview with TODAY’s Hoda Kotb, Winfrey discussed her own mental health. She admitted that she has never been to therapy. Instead, her talk show was her form of therapy. When she heard guests explain their own stories, she had epiphanies about her own past. For example, she never realized that anyone else had experienced being raped by a family member until a guest shared a similar story on the show.
