Natalie Joy, wife of Bachelor alum Nick Viall, has suffered another heartbreaking miscarriage, just two months after experiencing her first pregnancy loss.

The 26-year-old co-host of The Viall Files podcast shared the news in an emotional Instagram Stories post on Sunday, March 23.

“While mourning the loss of our second baby at the beginning of this year, I quickly and very unexpectedly found out I was pregnant again,” she wrote. “It took some time for me to accept what had happened, only to be handed another chance so easily and so fast. But eventually, I found so much happiness. We were finally in a place of complete and utter gratitude.”

However, tragedy struck again. “This past week, I miscarried again,” Joy revealed.

As she shared with her followers, she underwent a D&C (dilation and curettage)—a medical procedure used to remove tissue from the uterus following a miscarriage.

Describing the experience as “harder than I imagined,” she admitted, “It’s going to take some time for me to feel like myself again, and honestly, I may never will, but I hope to keep y’all involved in whatever that may look like.”

Joy expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of her husband, 44-year-old Viall, and their newborn daughter, River Rose, who was born in February 2024. “Going back to squeezing my husband and my sweet angel River Rose, who are truly the reason I have survived this time and time,” she added.

Viall later reposted Joy’s message, along with touching photos of her playing with their daughter, showing his own love and support.

The couple, who wed just months after welcoming River Rose, have been open about their fertility struggles. Joy previously shared her first miscarriage experience on the Jan. 29 episode of their podcast, calling it “the biggest heartbreak, I think, of my life.” She reflected, “I’ve never experienced something where I feel so empty inside.”

She also acknowledged how the experience deepened her understanding of miscarriage. “My sister has had 12 miscarriages, and it’s like you feel sad and you wanna be there for these people, but you don’t really know the loss that they feel until you go through it yourself,” she explained.

For Viall, the loss was difficult in a different way. He admitted, “Even as a father, connecting with your unborn child is a process.”

Despite their grief, the couple has found comfort in their daughter and each other. Joy hopes to one day share her story with River Rose, saying on the podcast, “I want her to be able to watch this back and see her parents’ love for her sibling that could have been here.”

Through it all, Joy and Viall remain united in love, finding strength in their family as they navigate this heartbreaking journey.
