Nick Jonas Runs Off Stage Mid-Concert Due To A Security Threat

A frightening incident disrupted a recent Jonas Brothers concert, prompting Nick Jonas to leave the stage abruptly and sparking concern among fans. The group was performing in Prague on Tuesday, Oct. 15, when Jonas became the target of a laser pointer. Videos circulating on TikTok and other platforms captured the moment the singer made a stop gesture with his hands before rushing offstage mid-performance.

A spokesperson for Prague’s O2 Arena, where the concert took place, confirmed to Variety that the show was briefly paused due to the incident.

“We can confirm that the Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes due to the use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person,” the Concert Arena spokesperson told Variety. “The organizing service responded to this fact. After a few minutes, the band continued their performance.”

Concerns over performer safety have intensified in recent years, with artists facing risks such as objects being thrown on stage or bizarre audience demands. This troubling trend has drawn attention from stars like Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Adele. Security fears escalated further when Swift’s August concerts in Vienna, Austria, were canceled after authorities uncovered a potential ISIS-related terror threat.

The Jonas Brothers, consisting of siblings Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, are a globally known pop-rock band that rose to fame in the mid-2000s. Originally forming in 2005, the trio gained widespread popularity through Disney Channel appearances and chart-topping hits like “Burnin’ Up” and “S.O.S.” Their early albums, including A Little Bit Longer and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

 

After a six-year break, beginning in 2013, the brothers reunited in 2019, releasing the album Happiness Begins, which featured the smash single “Sucker.” Their comeback was met with both critical and commercial success, reigniting their global following. Known for their high-energy performances, catchy melodies, and brotherly chemistry, the Jonas Brothers continue to evolve musically, blending pop, rock, and funk influences in their newer work.

The Jonas Brothers are currently performing the rescheduled European leg of their “Five Albums, One Night” tour, which will conclude on Wednesday night in Krakow, Poland.
