This past weekend, we celebrated Mother’s Day. We celebrated grandmothers, mothers, and aunts and friends who have played the role of a mother. Some celebrated Mother’s Day surrounded by family and friends. Others celebrated Mother’s Day through tears, perhaps dreaming of the day they would become a mother or missing their own mother.

Mother’s Day is not a happy time for everyone, but it had significant meaning this year for Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra. They both took to Instagram to share the happy news that after 100+ days in the NICU, their first child, a baby girl, is home. They shared the same picture, and most of the text accompanying the picture is the same; however, they each wrote something special for each other.

In his post, Jonas wrote a special tribute to his wife on her first Mother’s Day. He wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and care takers out there, but I want to take a minute to say a special Mother’s Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother’s Day.” He added, “You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”

Chopra wrote a tribute to Jonas on her post as well. She wrote, “There is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you.” She also shared a special message to the mothers in her life. She wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you.”
