At age 35, Lauren Berty has a lot to handle. She works full time, and she has twin girls.
Berty’s daughters, Shiloh and Ever-Grace, truly love each other. She often shares adorable videos of the toddlers on TikTok, and some of the videos show the little girls in separate cribs that are right next to each other.
While Berty has received plenty of sweet comments about her daughters and their love for each other, she has also received some negative comments from people wondering why she puts them in separate cribs when they so clearly seem to want to be together.
In response to this criticism of her parenting decisions, Berty decided to put together a montage of baby camera footage to show exactly why she thinks it’s better to have them sleep in their own separate cribs.
In the video, we see the twins standing and hugging each other over the tops of their separate cribs, but then, in other video clips, the twins aren’t so nice to each other. They hit each other, pull each other’s hair and even bite each other.
Along with the video, Berty wrote, “What can I say, some days my twins choose violence – and I’m grateful on those nights that there is a bit of separation.” She added, “And honestly, they each just seem to sleep better in their own beds.”
Berty isn’t entirely opposed to the twins sharing a bed though. She explained, “If they choose to climb in with one another – I won’t try to stop them unless the throwin’ hangs.”

Berty explained that she posted the video more than just to show why she separates her twins at night. She also wanted to show that her twins aren’t always perfect. She explained, “I wanted to show people the two sides to raising twins. I already show the good stuff, so I wanted to show that my twins aren’t perfect and always in this blissful lovey state every day.”
