Michelle Obama is set to discuss topics like divorce, newfound freedom, and friendship—but will steer clear of politics—on a newly announced podcast with her brother. Revealed on Monday, The New York Times disclosed details about the podcast, titled IMO (short for “In My Opinion”), after reviewing its first two episodes. The video-led series is scheduled for public release on Wednesday.

The podcast features former First Lady Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, who serves as the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. While the siblings explore a range of topics, they deliberately avoid politics and current events, instead embracing a lifestyle-focused format. However, that doesn’t mean they shy away from weighty discussions.

In the podcast trailer, the former first lady shared that she and her brother will respond to audience questions about “the challenges you’re grappling with in life… whether you’re navigating the gray areas of marriage and raising kids, or dealing with a little friend drama—or even figuring out how to put yourself out there in the dating world.”

According to The New York Times, the duo candidly reflects on Robinson’s 2000 divorce from his first wife, Janis Robinson. He later remarried in 2006 to his current wife, Kelly McCrum Robinson. Meanwhile, the Obamas have faced ongoing speculation about their own marriage in recent months.

The podcast also delves into Michelle’s relationship with her husband, former President Barack Obama, and his connection to politics.

Rumors about the couple’s marriage have been persistent, including speculation that Barack Obama was romantically involved with actress Jennifer Aniston. However, the Friends star dismissed the claims during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, clarifying that she had only “met him once.”

The hosts primarily share advice drawn from their own life experiences and will gradually introduce celebrity guests. Some familiar faces from The Michelle Obama Podcast, such as director Tyler Perry, will return, while new guests, including actors Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer, will also make appearances.

In the second episode of the podcast, writer, actress, and producer Issa Rae joins Michelle and Craig to discuss the challenges and importance of maintaining adult friendships.
