Imagine being a famous actress who leaves her career behind to marry a prince only to return to Hollywood and try to reclaim the love of television audiences. That is the situation Meghan Markle finds herself in, and it’s not going so well.

The Daily Mail reports that Meghan and Prince Harry have been largely paying for their lifestyle through their deal with streaming giant Netflix, especially since their deal with Spotify didn’t work out. While the official word is that it was a mutual decision, the real reason is that the couple didn’t meet “productivity benchmarks.”

The numbers aren’t looking good over at Netflix either. While their tell-all documentary “Harry & Meghan” was a hit, they haven’t been able to follow up that success with future projects. Harry’s show Polo was a flop and so was his Heart Of Invictus documentary.

Will Meghan do better with her upcoming show “With Love, Meghan”? We’re sure the couple hopes so, but as of yet, it’s not looking promising. The show hasn’t been released yet, but the trailer is being heavily criticized.

The trailer was posted on YouTube on January 2, 2025, and most of them are negative and very critical. For example, one comment reads, “Not her home. Not her kitchen. Not her recipes. And as a Bee Keeper- I can tell you that the Bee Clip is fake. You do NOT uncap honey close to an apiary! But there’s ZERO bees on that frame, which shows she’s a fraud. Netflix may have had to let her do this show, but I’m glad they kept comments open.”

Another person criticized the show’s title by writing, “Princess Diana used to sign her letters ’With love, Diana’. Off course Meagain wanted to name her show ’With Love, Meghan’. Harry married Diana’s stalker.”

Another comment criticized multiple things about Meghan. “What I learned from this Trailer: 1) Long ratty hair extensions look even worse hanging over food. 2) Cheekbone implants + Ozempic = Cruella De Ville. 3)Four hands poking around in dough is sickening, even with expensive jewelry 4) Jumping up and down and clapping like a 12 year old is not cute when you are in your mid-40s.”

What’s just as interesting are all of the comments about why this show is a bad idea simply because of Meghan herself. One person wrote, “It’s not the show, it what she did before the show. She dumped her father, lied to Oprah, bashed the royals, now it’s ‘with love.’ There’s no coming back.”

Then there are the comments commenting on the comments. One person wrote, “Just imagine having a comment section that’s more entertaining than the crap your promoting.”

And, according to the comments, Meghan wants Netflix to turn off the comments. One comment explains, “Just heard Meghan and her team knew about the backlash and the comments here and requested Netflix to fire its entire market team of this show, close down the comments of this channel, remake the teaser and replace with Meghan own marketing people. The Tone deaf thinks the backlash was due to the failure of Netflix marketing team and demands Netflix to delay the show till Feb. Netflix is having an urgent board meeting now. Netflix, please do not give in.”

Other comments urge Netflix not to turn off the comments. Here’s one example, “Thank you for keeping the comments open Netflix, as you need to know what the masses really think about Meghan Markle.”

Then there are other funny comments like this one, “Netflix needs to dump the show and just do a show featuring the comments. They will get more views than the actual show. It’ll be a winner.”
