Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have definitely had their share of the spotlight and media attention. This started long before they even met, but as a couple, the royal wedding, the departure from the royal family, their bashing of the royal family had time all became big headlines.
Now, Meghan and Harry might be choosing a different approach. In fact, they might have no choice but to eventually accept that their time in the spotlight might be over; although, obviously not yet or we wouldn’t be writing about them right now.
According to royal biographer Hugo Vickers, Harry and Meghan have finally come to the realization that bashing the royal family is not what will keep them relevant. In fact, their rants might actually make them less popular.
Vickers told The U.S. Sun, “They’ve realized that it wasn’t getting anywhere, because it was causing so much trouble.”
If they do an about face from their tell-all interview back in 2020 and choose to focus on the positive instead of the negative, that could offer some hope for the couple.
Since they are no longer working royals, they need to think about how they are going to afford their lifestyle. That means that decisions they make need to be strategic so that they can provide for themselves. Yes, money will drive their decisions.
Vickers said, “In order to earn a lot of money, they have to sometimes be controversial if you like. Or things which will keep themselves in the public eye.”
What will their next potentially controversial move be? That is yet to be seen.
Another big question is if it would ever be possible for Harry to reconcile with his family. Vickers seemed to think that would be possible but only if Harry makes the first move. Vickers explained, “He’s [Harry] the one who needs to pull himself together and extend the olive branch because he is the one making it difficult between them.”
One hinderance to a reunion between Harry and his father, King Charles, has to do with the attention that follows Harry. Basically, Harry might take the spotlight away from his dad, which would not be something the King would encourage.
Vickers explained, “The most successful members of the royal family are the ones who support the King in what he’s doing, and they don’t compete with him.”
Meghan and Harry are reportedly working with Netflix to produce a couple new shows which will come to the streamer in 2025. That will probably mean a round of publicity and interviews, which again, would take attention away from the King if Harry were to try to reconcile in the near future.
