Forget Bread Pans. This Is a Much Cuter Way to Bake Banana Bread!

When it comes to bread, almost nothing is as sweet and satisfying as the homemade banana kind. It’s a classic for both gift-giving and bake sales for a reason— and it’s about to get even better! Since presentation is at least 50 percent of the game, why not up the cute factor by baking the bread in an adorable, individual, present-perfect way: mason jars! The folks over at Allrecipes show us how easy it is to do. Let’s get baking!

You’ll Need

– 2/3 cup shortening
– 2 2/3 cups white sugar
– 4 eggs
– 2 cups mashed bananas
– 2/3 cup water
– 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 2 teaspoons baking soda
– 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon ground cloves
– 2/3 cup chopped pecans

So yummy and cute! You can get the full printable recipe here on the Allrecipes site. The best part about this idea, though, is that if you’re not a fan of banana bread, the technique will work with just about any quick-bread recipe! So tell us— what other breads would you like to see baked and presented this way? Have you ever tried something like this idea before?
