I found another use for mascara that needs to be replaced periodically because of freshness. I use the mascara to touch up hair roots as they come in gray here and there. I have dark brownish hair, and so I use the dark brown colored mascara, but there are also regular brown and black shades also, for those of us in those color ranges.

If your mascara has dried out, someone here submitted a smart tip about placing the mascara tube in a cup of hot water to release any remaining mascara bits inside the tube. I just suggest now relabeling your mascara for the “hair”. :-)
