Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Ice Cream Is Now Available in Stores

One of our favorite things about holidays is the festive food. This is true of all holidays not just the winter holidays. We look forward to egg-shaped candy at Easter and flag-decorated cakes for the 4th of July. We love pumpkin shaped treats at Halloween and Christmas tree and Santa shaped desserts in December.

Many major food companies make special treats just for certain holidays, and we think what makes them most special is that they are only for sale at a certain time each year. It’s not like we can buy Christmas tree-shaped candy in May.

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we are leaning in to the holiday season and ready to embrace all of the flavors and festive food. We’re also excited to try new twists on old favorites, and at the top of our list is buying a pint of a brand new, limited edition ice-cream flavor.

For the first time ever, there is a Little Debbie ice-cream flavor. The company collaborated with midwest ice-cream company Hudsonville Ice Cream to give a brand new spin on one of our favorite holiday treats. The companies worked together to transform Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into ice-cream.

Back in October, Little Debbie announced the new ice-cream flavor via Twitter. It hit store shelves in early November, and you should be able to find it at your local Walmart, which is the only place where the exclusive flavor is being sold.

If you’re not familiar with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, you’re really missing out. The snack, which debuted in 1985, consists of layers of yellow cake filled with cream and covered in white chocolate frosting. The snack resembles a snow-covered Christmas tree and is decorated with green sugar sprinkles and a red “garland” made out of red frosting.

The ice-cream version of this classic treat sounds equally delicious. The ice-cream is cake flavored. and there are chunks of pound cake mixed in as well as classic green sprinkles and red frosting.

What’s your favorite holiday dessert? Are you a fan of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes? Are you going to try the ice-cream version of this delicious seasonal treat? Do you think Little Debbie should try transforming more of their treats into ice-cream flavors?
