Woman Can’t Believe Ridiculous List Of Rules At Her Airbnb Rental

Airbnb has changed the way many people travel. Instead of staying in a generic hotel room, now we can stay in an entire house or a room in a house. We can stay almost anywhere for however long we want as long as there is availability. There are some very unique and quite incredible rentals available.

The drawback to staying at an Airbnb is that they are not all created equal. You do not always know what your experience is going to be like before you arrive. Photos and reviews don’t always do the place justice. Sometimes we are pleasantly surprised by the accommodating hosts and the amenities provided. Other times, the host can almost ruin the entire stay by either not responding to questions, not providing essential things guests need, or perhaps even worse, providing too much information.

A woman named Tiffany recently stayed at an Airbnb, and her experience was so unusual that she decided to share it on TikTok. Her video was viewed over 1.6 million times. The video is now marked as private, which means we can’t share it with you here, but we can tell you what made it so popular.

In a follow-up video, Tiffany shares the entire story of why she booked an Airbnb and how her experience at this particular Airbnb started. She explains that she was initially grateful for the host’s detailed information, like where she should park her car. She also enjoyed a long conversation with her host upon her arrival. At this point, she hadn’t yet seen the notes that were left all over her room.

Tiffany started to understand what other guests meant in their reviews when they wrote that they “felt watched” and that there was “too much information.” For example, Tiffany found a glass in her room and brought it to the kitchen to fill it with water. The host informed her that it was “the wrong glass.” That glass was intended as a place for her to put her toothbrush. She also went to hand wash something in the sink, and the host informed her that she should put everything in the dishwasher instead of hand washing the dishes.

Up in her room, Tiffany found notes everywhere. Some could be helpful, like detailed instructions about how to use the remote control. Yet, the way the host went about it was a little over the top. She actually drew a picture of the remote and wrote how to use every single button. In the video, Tiffany went on to explain that there were even notes explaining how to use things like storage bins and vents.

Many viewers reacted to the video by commenting that the notes were too much and that the host seemed too controlling to be hosting an Airbnb; however, a few people pointed out that the host probably left these notes because she has been asked questions about how to use all of these things in the past and finds leaving a note easier than answering the same questions over and over again.

Have you ever stayed at an Airbnb? If so, did you enjoy the experience? Do you think this Airbnb host was too controlling?
