The Smile singer, 39, and the Stranger Things actor, 49, have separated after four years together, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.  Allen—who tied the knot with Harbour in 2020 after connecting on the celebrity dating app Raya—hinted at a recent “tough time” during the Dec. 16 episode of her BBC podcast Miss Me? with co-host Miquita Oliver.

While she didn’t elaborate on the cause, Allen admitted it was taking a toll on her mental health and impacting her eating habits. The British singer and the Stranger Things actor quickly became a fan-favorite couple, making their red carpet debut at the 2020 SAG Awards. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage just a year later, with the couple tying the knot in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator in September 2020. The intimate wedding included Allen’s two daughters from her previous marriage, and the couple celebrated with a fast-food meal afterward.

Throughout their marriage, Allen and Harbour often expressed their affection for each other publicly. Harbour embraced his role as a stepfather, speaking fondly about their family dynamic. However, signs of trouble emerged in 2023 when they were seen less frequently together.

Earlier this year, Allen shared insight into some of the more unconventional aspects of her marriage to Harbour. She revealed that she had an OnlyFans account where she sold pictures of her feet and mentioned that the couple monitored each other’s phone apps. The Smile singer opened up about these unique dynamics in their relationship, as reported by PEOPLE.

In June, Allen shared on her podcast that she occasionally turns down her husband in bed. Lily Allen is a British singer, songwriter, and actress known for her witty lyrics and genre-blending music.
