Actor Alan Scarfe has passed away at his home in  Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. He died on April 28 from colon cancer, per a current obituary. He was 77.

He was born on June 8 1946 in Harpenden, England. He started his career in England before emigrating to Canada. Scarfe was multi-talented as an actor, director, and writer. He worked in television, film, and theater.

The television roles Scarfe is best known for are his guest appearances on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” He had the ability to make complex characters life-like. He excelled at playing villains. Additionally, he played recurring roles in the TV series “Andromeda” and “Seven Days.”

Scarfe’s film work is also impressive, with roles in various genres showcasing his ability to adapt. He starred in “The Outer Limits,” a science fiction series, and appeared in films such as “The Prince and Me,” “Double Impact,” and “Lethal Weapon3’. His work often involves intense, dramatic performances that show his ability  to  act in psychologically complex roles.

The actor received the Vancouver Film Critics Circle honorary award for lifetime achievement throughout his career.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, who served as his caregivers in his last years. Also, survived by his brother, son, and 2 grandchildren. His wife of 40 years, actress Barbara March died in 2019.
