The ‘King of Queens’ Star Leah Remini and Angelo Pagan are filing for divorce.
They posted a joint statement on Instagram to announce their split.

“After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce,So, the big question — why? To put it simply, we both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that didn’t fit us anymore.”
The couple describe their friendship “We’ve been best friends for so many years. We are still celebrating holidays together, watching our favorite TV shows together, and gathering as a family.”
“Our bond is still strong — it’s just evolved into something different,” they wrote
“This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us. We are proud of how we have worked through this together.”
The post concluded, “We want to be as transparent as we can be here because, for years, we shared our marriage so publicly, whether it was on our specials on VH1 or our reality show. We would love for everyone to have more access to different kinds of relationship stories and not feel so isolated in navigating the changes that millions of couples make every year.”
Leah Remini is an actress, author, and activist. She is best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan on the long-running TV show ‘The King of Queens’. Beyond her acting career, Remini has gained significant attention for her outspoken criticism of the Church of Scientology, of which she was a member for over 30 years before leaving in 2013.
In 2015, Remini published a book titled Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, in which she talks about her experiences in the Church and her reasons for leaving. She has also produced and hosted a documentary series called Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, which aired from 2016 to 2019. The series explores the alleged abuses and controversies within the Church of Scientology.

Leah’s soon to be ex-husband, Angelo Pagán, is an actor, and musician. Leah and Angelo met in the late 1990s at a Cuban restaurant and got married on July 19, 2003. Their wedding was featured in a 2004 episode of the reality TV show Inside Out: Leah Remini. Together, they have a daughter named Sofia Bella Pagán, born in 2004.

Angelo Pagán has appeared in various television shows and films, including roles in The King of Queens alongside Leah. He has also worked in music.
