For most of us, traveling by airplane happens on a large plane filled with strangers. Traveling by airplane is also not something most people do every day, and those who do travel frequently are probably traveling for business related purposes.

Kylie Jenner has proven that she is very out of touch with what it is like to be normal and to live a normal life. She may occasionally pretend that she knows what normal is by posting things like trips to Target on Instagram, but then she doesn’t even seem to notice when she posts something so far from relatable that it’s not even funny.

Recently, Jenner posted a picture of herself and Travis Barker embracing at an airport with a private jet on each side of them. She captioned the Instagram post, “you wanna take mine or yours ?”

Jenner has received a lot of backlash for this post. First, it proves how unrelatable her life is. It also proves how much her lifestyle is hurting the environment instead of helping it.

Jenner has yet to comment on the backlash, but it’s not getting any better for her. In fact, it’s looking worse. Twitter users have dug up her flight records and discovered the shocking fact that Jenner often uses her private plane for flights across town. Sometimes the flights are only as long as 3 minutes.

Let’s get real here. Traffic in Los Angeles can be a nightmare, so we kind of understand why Jenner would want to avoid traffic when possible by taking her private plane instead of sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the freeway. Yet, the way she’s using her plane to avoid traffic seems quite excessive. One flight from Calabasas to Van Nuys was only 3 minutes long. As one Twitter user pointed out, the drive from Calabasas to Van Nuys is only about 40 minutes.

We know L.A. traffic well, and while it may be a 40 minute drive in perfect traffic, it could take much longer than that during rush hour or if there were an accident on the freeway. Still. A 3 minute flight across town? Forget privileged. Let’s talk about pollution.

Jenner’s private jet, which is called Kylie Air, can emit about 2 tons of CO2. In addition, a private jet like Jenner’s causes more pollution than a commercial plane, roughly 14 times more pollution.
