Last September, Kourtney Kardashian went into emergency surgery while she was pregnant with son Rocky, now 7-months. During the ordeal, nothing was revealed. Now, in the June 20 episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Kourtney shares there was fluid in Rocky’s lungs.
Kourtney shares her miracle son Rocky with Travis Barker. They married in 2022. Kourtney, 45, conceived Rocky with the help of IVF.
“We had a terrifying scare,” she said. “It’s super rare—the condition that he had—but it’s also super rare and lucky that we caught it. Thank you, God, for a successful surgery. I’m honestly just so grateful, I have no words.” The operation was successful but Kourtney continued to have anxiety that Rocky’s condition would come back. “The fluid in his lungs actually did start coming back,” the 45-year-old explained in a confessional.
“Then I watched this documentary called Heal that was all about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health.” The reality star decided to take on a more positive outlook. She started talking to her baby all of the time and said her prayers. After she changed her outlook, the fluid disappeared. Meanwhile, Travis continued to worry. He told Kourtney he didn’t want the baby to be born early. He wanted his lungs to be fully grown.
Then, on November 1, Rocky was born with perfect lungs. On the show, Kourtney exclaims, “It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of, everything we’ve been through to get to this moment, it just feels so surreal.”
