Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson, went Instagram official back in April, but they were dating for months before that. The couple kept their relationship private and sources close to them even denied rumors that they were more than friends.

It is generally out of Kim’s character to show a lot of PDA on her social media accounts. Even though she and Pete are together, it’s rare for her to post pictures or videos of them together. Pete isn’t even on social media at all, he’s not publicly sharing anything about their relationship.

While it’s not in Kim’s nature to share PDA posts, it is in her nature to admire her own reflection, and she did both in a recent Instagram story. The video starts with Kim and Pete sticking their tongues out at each other. Then Pete turns towards Kim for a kiss. Kim lets him kiss her, but she is too busy admiring her own reflection to actually kiss him back. See for yourself in the video below.

One person commented on the video, “He should just tattoo an image of her on his face and she’ll stare at him lovingly every time she looks at him.”

Another comment reads, “She has no idea who’s she standing next to she’s so obsessed with staring at herself.”

This is far from the first time Kim has been caught staring at herself when she should be focusing on the people around her. Dr. Chris Brown, an Australian TV personality, explained that Kim was staring at herself when he interviewed her on the show “The Project” back in 2012. He explained, “And we’re about one or two questions in and all of a sudden I can see there’s a commotion amongst the floor managers. They’re sort of running around and moving things around. I thought, ‘I wonder what’s going on there?’”

After the interview was over, he asked the crew what they were doing. He continued, “They said, ‘I can’t believe you didn’t notice, but for the first half of the interview her eyeline was down and to the right.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I saw that, I just thought she was nervous.’” Turns out, she wasn’t nervous. She was just admiring her own reflection. He added, “And they said, ‘No, no, no. We had to move all the monitors and turn them around because all she was doing was looking at herself the entire interview.’ And after they did that she actually looked at us for a change.”

As for why Kim posted the kiss with Pete on Instagram at all, many fans think she’s just trying to compete with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, who has been posting very intimate pictures of her relationship with her now husband Travis Barker all over social media. One fan wrote, “… I can’t help but wonder if she would be doing this if Kravis didn’t exist.”

Another comment reads, “After this whole Kravis wedding..I can sense the ‘I’m gonna do it (the PDA) better than you’ to Kourtney.”

At least Kourtney looks at Travis instead of herself when they’re kissing.
