Movie fans might be divided about Keanu Reeves’s skills on screen, but he always wins people over in real life. Known as a laidback, cool gentleman, he’s once again shown how humble and down to earth he can be .

This time, the actor was on a United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Burbank when the plane had problems and proceeded to land in a Bakersfield, California airport. One hundred miles from their destination, he and fellow passengers were scrambling to figure out how to make it to L.A.

Apparently, the airport was closed, and airline crew announced that employees would be sent in to remove baggage from the plane. But that would take three hours. On top of that, bus transportation was being arranged for all the passengers but that too would take hours.

Who stepped up to the plate to help figure things out? Keanu, Neo, John Wick – whoever you want to call him in the moment, and he outlined all the options for getting everyone to L.A. One of the passengers recorded the whole thing and shared it on social media, where it went viral.

After Reeves spent time breaking down their choices, he and some other folks decided the best strategy would be to grab their bags and take a 2-hour van ride to the city. Cementing his rep as an all-around good guy, once on the van, Reeves lightheartedly entertained his road trip buddies with fun facts about Bakersfield and by playing native Bakersfield tunes on his phone.

We know that not everyone is into watching internet videos of Hollywood “celebs”, but seriously, this is absolutely riveting. There are no airs about Reeves. Numerous stories abound on the web about how nice this dude really is, and we guess this one will be added to his mythology.

It was also mentioned that prior to boarding, Reeves was happily chatting with flight crew about everyday stuff and his work. He even spent time taking pictures with fans before and after the emergency landing.

As the story has been making its rounds, some are joking that he’s like his hero character in Speed, sans the fast-moving bus that can’t stop. Once the adventure was over and everyone parted ways from the van, the actor was spotted heading over to a Carl’s Jr.

On another note, if you are wondering about what’s going on with his acting career, Reeves has a few projects rolling out in the near future. There’s John Wick 3 due in May of this year (yes!!!), Toy Story 4 coming out in June, and next year’s Bill & Ted 3.

You might be on the fence about his body of work, but Reeves is known for being a kind and jovial regular schmegular person. Now these travelers have a story to tell about the short but sweet bond they formed at a Bakersfield airport. Excellent!

Are you a fan of Keanu Reeves? Is it more for his movies or his personality? How would you have reacted if you were on that van with him?
