Back in 2009, when Taylor Swift was accepting her very first VMA at the age of 19, Ye jumped on stage, interrupted her acceptance speech and announced that Beyonce should have won. He was 33 at the time. That sparked a feud between Ye and Swift which they seemed to resolve until he called her “that bitch” in his song “Famous” in 2016.
Now, in 2022, Ye is starting another feud between himself and a young, successful white woman, and he’s once again starting the feud by inserting himself into a situation.
On February 6, 2022, Billie Eilish abruptly stopped a concert when she realized that one of her fans was having trouble breathing. She didn’t continue until the fan was given an inhaler and able to breath again. At the concert, Eilish said, “I wait for the people to be OK before I keep going.”
Several media outlets took Eilish’s comment to be a jab at rapper Travis Scott who claims he didn’t even notice when multiple fans got trampled during his Astroworld concert in 2021.
Ye posted one of the media headlines on Instagram and wrote, “Come on Billie we love you. Please apologize to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives. No one intended this to happen. Trav didn’t have any idea of what was happening when he was on stage and was very hurt by what happened.”
Then he gave Eilish, who is only 20 years old, an ultimatum – apologize or he won’t perform at Coachella. He wrote, “And yes Trav will be with me at Coachella, but now I need Billie to apologize before I perform.”
Many fans thought it was ridiculous for him to tell Eilish to apologize. One fan wrote, “She doesn’t owe any one an apology for doing what was right during HER own concert WTF?”
Another fan commented, “I’m sorry but she did not say anything wrong nor did she mention Travis by name. How can you turn her stopping the show to protect a fan’s health into a bad thing??”
Eilish did not apologize. Instead, she defended herself. She commented, “literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan.”
Now, many people are wondering why Ye is taking it upon himself to fight other people’s battles. Why did he feel the need to embarrass Beyonce during Swift’s acceptance speech? Why did he feel the need to speak up for Scott when, if Eilish’s comment bothered him, he could’ve said something himself?
kanye west has a vendetta against successful young women and its not spoken about enough

Kanye West has been publicly picking on women who are significantly younger than him since *checks watch* 2009🙄

Ye is 44 years old. Why he seems to pick on young, successful white women is anyone’s guess.
Kanye def has a constant need to control and undermine women and it shows itself time and time again. His actions are never called what they are. Pure misogyny. She didn’t even mention his name… please leave Coachella and my twitter feed. https://t.co/GaHIz0UbfC

Do you think it was out of line for Eilish to say what she said during her concert? Do you think she intended the comment to be a jab at Scott? Why do you think Ye felt the need to insert himself in the situation?
