Journalist’s Cicada ‘Attack’ Gets Caught on Camera and People on Twitter Are Cringing

Cicadas – they’re everywhere. At least, they’re everywhere if you live in the eastern part of the United States. If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere that isn’t infested with cicadas right now, consider yourself very lucky. If you don’t realize how bad the infestation is, we have photos to prove it.

We’re okay with bugs if they leave us alone, but we definitely don’t want them crawling on us. That is crossing a line. Sure, cicadas aren’t going to bite you or hurt you, but it’s just, well, gross.

We’re not the only ones who feel this way. Recently, a reporter named Manu Raju was ready to go on air when a giant cicada started crawling up his chest towards his face. When he finally saw it, he completely freaked out. Honestly, he was all of us.

Raju shared the footage on Twitter writing, “Had an unwelcome visitor try to crawl into my live shot earlier.” Watch his reaction below.

Twitter users are freaking out along with Raju. Some of them are asking a very good question. Why didn’t anyone tell him the cicada was crawling on him?

Other Twitter users share that Raju’s reaction is exactly how they would’ve reacted too and that something like this is their biggest nightmare.

How would you have reacted if a cicada crawled on you? Why do you think nobody told this reporter about the giant bug?
