Sometimes the most meaningful Valentine’s Day presents are the ones that are the most thoughtful and the most heartfelt. A heart-shaped box of chocolates and a dozen red roses may be a safe bet if you don’t want to put a lot of thought into it, but if you think about what your Valentine likes, you just might come up with something a lot more meaningful.

Valentine’s Day presents don’t have to cost a lot to be meaningful either. They can be homemade. If you’re a parent, you probably have at least one homemade gift from your children that you treasure because of the love behind the gift.

What’s even better is when a homemade gift isn’t just treasured because of the love behind it but also because of the special meaning and the talent that created it. For example, Ben Affleck gave an early Valentine’s Day present to his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, that was homemade, thoughtful and one of the sweetest things we’ve ever seen.

The gift was a remix of Lopez’s music video “On My Way.” Affleck’s remix featured footage from the original video as well as behind the scenes footage of a younger Affleck filming “Goodwill Hunting” with his buddy Matt Damon, plus footage of Lopez and Affleck together during their original relationship back in the early 2000s.
