People Are Realizing That Jeeps Have ‘Easter Eggs’ Hidden on Their Vehicles

It turns out that it’s not just Disney/Pixar movies that provide Easter Eggs hidden in their content—it’s cars too!

Jeep owners, in particular, have recently realized that the company has been hiding these so-called Easter Eggs on their vehicles for a number of years—and many of them are completely bewildered.

The phenomenon actually began back in 1989, when a designer named Michael Santoro was hired to design the Wrangler TJ. When it was released in 1996, no one really noticed the hidden gems in it—but Santoro knew they were there.

Since then, Santoro continued to design these “Easter Eggs” into the vehicles as time went on, leaving his mark—literally—on every Jeep made. It began as his little secret, but then grew into a fun game Jeep owners would play when they got their car: Where was it and what was it?

However, not many people actually knew that these existed. In fact, it was a TikTok user named jackiefoster40 who was one of the first people to realize there was an Easter Egg hiding on her Jeep. In a video that quickly went viral, he explained how he discovered it.

“So I bought my first car, and a fun fact about Jeeps is that they have a hidden animal which is called an Easter egg,” he said. “I couldn’t find my Easter egg for the longest time, and one day I was pumping my gas, and I saw this spider coming at me, and I thought ‘oh my god’, and then I realized it was my Easter egg.”

After that, video after video began to come out about all of the people who never knew their Jeeps had these underlying Easter Eggs. They used the original poster’s voiceover to help explain what was going on—and it’s a pretty cool series of videos.

The Easter Eggs would be anything, not just animals. One user found Bigfoot. One user found a dinosaur skull. One user found a pair of flip flips. Heck, one user found a Jeep…in the Jeep!

So interesting, right? If you have a Jeep and had no idea that Easter Eggs existed, we advise you to go searching in your vehicle right now—there’s definitely one hiding!
