Driving always involves risks. That’s why it’s important to obey traffic laws and pay attention to your surroundings. Just because you’re obeying the laws doesn’t mean everyone else is.

Actor Jason Momoa was recently involved in a car crash over the weekend. The accident involved his vehicle, an Oldsmobile muscle car, and a motorcycle. Thankfully, everyone is okay; although, it sounded pretty intense for a minute.

According to a source that spoke to TMZ, the accident occurred when Momoa was driving his car on Old Topanga Canyon Road near Calabasas, California. The news source reports, “at one point during his drive, a biker traveling in the opposite direction made contact with him coming around a curve.”

According to the source, the biker crossed into Momoa’s lane while driving around the curve in the road, and in the process, the motorcycle hit the left front end of Momoa’s car. When the two vehicles came into contact, the biker “kinda went flying, albeit only briefly.”

According to sources, the motorcyclist bounced off of Momoa’s windshield but landed on his feet. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries including an injury on his thumb and a bruise on his leg. Momoa was reportedly not injured.

Honestly, with the description of the crash, it’s pretty incredible that there weren’t any more serious injuries. Police took reports at the scene, but nothing came of it.

TMZ obtained footage of the aftermath of the crash from a bicyclist who happened to be riding by. The arrow in the footage shows Momoa walking back to his car while the police and firefighters tend to the injured biker. The biker is not visible in the footage, but we can see that the accident was considered quite intense considering the number of emergency vehicles that arrived on the scene.
