Jamie Foxx opened up about his mystery illness last April. The 56-year-old actor shared a video on X by The Art of The Dialogue providing more details about the scary illness that left him out of commission last year.

In this video, Jamie Foxx is talking to a small gathering of people. He said, ““Look, April 11th last year, Bad headache. I asked my boy for an Advil.”

Then, he snaps his fingers. “I was gone for 20 days,” Foxx said. “I don’t remember anything.”

“I was gone for 20 days,” he said. “I don’t remember anything.”

“So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,”

“They gave me a cortisone shot,”

He adds: “The next doctor said something’s going on up there,”

“I won’t say it on camera,”

“But it was…” then the video ends.

Back in April 2023, Foxx became ill while he was filming “Back In Action.” He talked about his long recovery process at The Vanguard Award at The Critics Choice Association Awards back in December 2023

“You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago — I couldn’t actually walk,” Foxx said, in reference to walking across the stage.

“I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over … when you see the tunnel. I saw the tunnel, I didn’t see the light. I have a new respect for life. I have a new respect for my art.”

Recently, the actor returned to “Beat Shazam.” He is also considering returning to performing stand up comedy. He is suggesting he may tell more of his story on stage in a comedy show.
