Caleb Coffee is an influencer with over 11 million followers on TikTok and more than 1 million followers on Instagram. Many of his posts show him in nature or taking part in high-energy activities. Now, Coffee is simply thankful to be alive.

On August 17, 2023, Coffee’s family shared the tragic news that Coffee is in the ICU at a local hospital in Hawaii where he is recovering from a fall that could have ended his life. According to the GoFundMe page set up by Coffee’s family, the TikTok star “is currently in the ICU due to yesterday at 2pm he had an accident while on a hike with three of his friends.” His family explained, “He slipped and fell off a 60-80ft cliff onto lava rock and caleb got airlifted to the emergency room.” He currently has injuries all over his body including “Spinal fracture, broke femur, elbow, wrist and multiple gouges and burns throughout his entire body.” The doctors say he’s “lucky to be alive and is one of the strongest out there.”

A few hours after Coffee’s parents started the GoFundMe, Coffee posted on TikTok from his hospital bed. He thanked everyone who is supporting him with donations or prayers, and he thanked God that he is still alive. He really thought he was going to die and is grateful that he survived the fall and will eventually recover. He also shared the good news that his spine and his neck are not broken, which was a huge relief.

Coffee’s family shared that they have started a GoFundMe because Coffee does not have medical insurance. At the time of publication, they have raised $17,000 towards their $100,000 goal. They wrote, “We can not afford these medical bills.”
