Nearly 15,000 Infant Snowsuits from The Children’s Place Are Being Recalled Due to Choking Hazard
Parents should be aware of a major clothing recall for girls’ infant snowsuits. The Children’s Place has announced that they are issuing a recall for the suits due to a possible choking hazard.
The company acknowledges one report of the metal snaps detaching from the snowsuit and posing a threat to small children. Nearly 15,000 snowsuits in the US and 750 in Canada are affected by the recall, which were sold between August and November of this year.
Consumers who purchased the snowsuits in sizes 0 through 18 months should check the label for the following styles:
- 2111187 White Sophy Floral – a white snowsuit flower pattern
- 2111187 Jazzberry Ladybug – bright pink with red ladybugs
- 2111188 Rosebud Heart – light pink snowsuit with quilted hearts on the sleeves
You can locate the style number by lifting up the care tag and reading the label underneath it. There are 4 sets of numbers and the one beginning with a “2” is the style number.
Customers should return the suits to the store for a full refund. If you ordered the item online, you should be receiving an email regarding the recall and what action to take.
If you have questions, you may contact The Children’s Place at 877.752.2387 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm EST, or you can visit the recall information section of the website – www.childrensplace.com.
