Hugh Jackman Seeks Assistance For Finding Missing Broadway Star

Broadway actor Zelig Williams, known for his performances in Hamilton and MJ The Musical, has been reported missing in South Carolina. His former co-star Hugh Jackman expressed concern, stating he is “praying” for Williams’ safe return. The theater community is wishing for Williams to return to safety as soon as possible.

Zelig Williams, known for his role in MJ The Musical, was reported missing on October 3. According to a missing persons flier, the 28-year-old was last seen at his home in Columbia, S.C., wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and brown slides. Initially, his family feared he might have been involved in a car accident after receiving a concerning alert from his phone.

Per the Black and Missing website, Williams “was last seen driving in the Congaree National Park area, where his vehicle was found” per the authorities.

Hugh Jackman worked with Williams on “The Man, The Music, The Show” back in 2019 and took to Instagram Story to express his concern.

“Zelig we love you and are praying for your safe return.” Jackman wrote, according to US Weekly,“Please pass this message on!!!”

The actor’s aunt Christine Mclaughlin Barber posted a message to Facebook

“Words can’t express what our family is going through right now. Please continue to share his photos and videos. The more we share the more people can get the word out to other states/countries.  It’s reached France so let’s keep flooding the timelines to help bring Zelig home. Please continue to pray pray pray for Zelig to come home safe. WE LOVE YOU ZELIG”

Search efforts have been ongoing, with local law enforcement deploying helicopters, boats, and drones. Although police are treating Williams’ disappearance as a missing persons case, Sheriff Leon Lott confirmed to PEOPLE that investigators suspect foul play may be involved.
